Buggy Fitness

What is it?

A weekly session, in Brighton or Hove, of structured fun exercise with groups of people sharing the same experiences, difficulties and joys. The programme is specificaly designed to safely assist the healing and strengthening process and make you feel positive about yourself and those you love.

What are the benefits?

Designed to assist with weight loss, muscle repair, improve the fitness and general well being of the participants, ‘buggy fitness’  is an enjoyable way to adapt to living with a new family member.  Simultaneously, the social aspect of the meetings, together with the exercise games, make the sessions something to look forward to in the week and help to relieve the emotional stresses and strains of being a new parent.

What do we do?

As with all professional training, each session begins with a cardio-vascular warm-up followed by careful stretches adapted for the circumstances of new mothers. The sessions are designed to work on the areas of the body that you are concerned about, whilst recognising that for most there is still a significant amount of healing and adaptation to take place. You will do real exercise in a fun way, extending your CV capacity, strength and endurance, improving your body’s capacity to take in and use oxygen and food, whilst burning up excess fat at the same time. There will be work directed at the abdomen and back (core) muscles to improve your strength and shape.

Is any special equipment required?

No, you will need a buggy you can run with, water, some running shoes and comfortable clothes but any other equipment will be provided.

What next?

Professional advice and training will ensure progressive development to whatever level of fitness you require. If you just want to get out of the house, meet other parents and do something you enjoy, that’s OK too.

How do I join?

Easy – just phone or email info@fitnesstrainingspecialists.co.uk and Liz will invite you along to the next session near you.
